I think Lynn's death had created a huge impact on Katie's life. She has become way more matured than she was and also Lynn's death had made her willpower and responsibilities bigger. According to the story Katie works harder with her homework and sometimes gets an A and mostly B's. I think Katie does this because sh knows that Lynn the perfect daughter is gone and she feels like her parents are really upset because Lynn was way more talented and more intelligent and thus she doesn't want her parents to regret this death and so makes it up to them by working more harder in academy! I also think this willpower in Katie will help her get a way more brighter future than what she would have got.

Lynn longed to get better and make many friends,Katie also wished the same and they had promised Lynn a phone in her bedroom when she got better so that she could talk to all her friends. Suddenly they hear a phone ring once and then stop. It was almost like the phone ring was not real, like a momentary granting of Lynn wishes for getting better, having friends and talking to them over phone. Thye moth is also probably a symbol of her momentary dreams. Moths normally have very short lives you see them at night and most die by the day. The moth flying in through the window must be like a secret wish of Lynn. Lynns eyes were following the movements of the moth almost like chasing a dream and then her eyes lits up as if her dreams were getting fullfilled and then suddenly dies off....and so she goes to sleep.

Interesting fact about the navajo people..

I think that the most interesting fact about the Navajo people is that when a person is very ill and is going to die instead of getting a doctor they held healing ceremonies to help the person get better. They usually have a medicine man come over which is usually another member of the tribe and they have him do various things before they turn to the proper medical treatment. The medicine man usually uses tools such as crystal rocks and chants prayers based on the illness.

Parent/ Grandparent interview.

As i interviewed my grandmother and so others interviews i learn't a lot of things. I learned that the adolescent years has changed from every generation in many ways both physically and emotionally. According to all the peoples adolescent years interview we all learned that they had all gone through a period of struggle financially and personal feelings. I also learned that nowadays we ask for something and we just get it but all the interviews showed us that not everyone in lucky like us. The world too has changed with technology etc which has made everything thing easier. Many people also tell us that they didn't know what was happening to them during their adolescent years since no one around them even wanted to mention or explain to them about how things will change during the teen years because of embarrassment etc but today as i mentioned earlier the worlds far too changed and we get our information from internet, parents and many other sources.

FRIM Experience...

The FRIM trip was an awesome experience except the tent part. I did like some of the socializing bits but not always. This trip helped me get to know some people better than i already knew them and I also got to talk to people I'd have never talk to if not for this trip. The hikes really got other people pushing and supporting you. Although it was very hard to see 20 other kids with you at first.We all obviously got socializing after but sometimes everyone would form groups and would keep other people out of it but otherwise i really loved it and I sure am looking forward for another experience like this.

comparison between katie's mom and dad

Well i think Katie's mom and dad are very different from eachother because it says that Katie's dad is 6 feet tall and her mom is only 4 and a half feet tall.She also describes her dad to be very manly looking and the mother to be a very small and delicate person.
Katies dad seems to be like a quite and peaceful person who spends most of his time reading newspapers and thinking ,and reading this i dont think he really gets into fights with family etc. He also is the one who likes to have fun with his kids unlike their mum. Whereas Katies mum is decribed as a very hot-tempered person and gets really very angry when irritated and reading this i think she is the kind of person who basically controls over lynn and Katie. I also think she is very old fashioned and doesnt like it when Katie and Lynn fools around. I also think that Katie is more closer with her mum because she knows what her mum is trying to do while giving the stare this means that she really understands her mum.
